Our origin story

Back in 2015, our founder Malcolm Shepherd saw a gap in the financial advisory market.

He realised that many New Zealanders weren’t achieving their financial goals because they weren’t getting the right kind of advice. He set about to fix this problem and developed Quantum Financial Advisers, a business where everyday kiwis could access mortgage brokering services and financial advice that made things simpler and easy to understand. Quantum’s aim was to provide our customers with individualised options, giving them back the power over their finances.

Fast forward to the present day and Malcolm and the team have recently shifted business focus – moving away from offering financial advice services to enable us to concentrate on Kiwi Money School, an education platform created to inform people about how to make the most of their money.
